SharePoint Maven’s hourly consulting rate is $350 per hour. Sessions are billed in 1-hour blocks with no minimum contract and no retainer required. You pay only for the time you book; unused hours never expire. The rate covers Greg Zelfond personally – never a subcontractor or junior consultant.

Hourly consulting fits short, defined problems – a few specific questions, a configuration review, a quick second opinion. Fixed-fee projects (intranet, document management, SharePoint governance audit) are well-suited to full implementations where the scope is large enough to estimate up front. Live training sessions follow a formal agenda and curriculum, designed to teach a defined topic (SharePoint fundamentals, site owner skills, document management, etc.) to a group. Hourly consulting is the opposite – there’s no curriculum, no slides, no fixed agenda. The hour is yours to direct toward your specific questions, configurations, or decisions. Pick training when your team needs structured learning; pick hourly consulting when you need answers to specific problems.

Hours are paid in advance through the form on this page. Standard credit card payments are accepted and processed immediately. There is no quote-and-proposal step for hourly consulting – once payment is received, scheduling begins. Receipts are sent automatically; formal invoices are available on request.

Yes. Hours can be purchased on behalf of any team member or department. The person attending the session doesn’t need to be the buyer. If your organization has multiple people who’ll join sessions, just let Greg know during scheduling so he can address the right audience.

After you purchase hours through the form on this page, Greg replies within 24 hours on business days to coordinate a time. The first session is typically scheduled within one week of purchase. If you need a session faster, send a note with your situation – Greg can often accommodate same-week requests.

Yes. Sessions are tailored to your tenant by default – Greg uses your real SharePoint sites, libraries, and configurations during the session, not generic examples. Send a note before the session with what you’d like to focus on so Greg can prepare; this is included at no extra charge.

There is no limit. Hourly consulting sessions can include as many people from your team as you’d like – IT staff, site owners, business users, executives, or any combination. The $350/hour rate covers the full session regardless of attendee count. Most clients have 2–4 people join; some have a single attendee.

Yes – recordings are available on request. Many clients use them to share what was covered with team members who couldn’t join live, or to refer back to specific configuration steps weeks later when implementing the changes. Just mention during scheduling that you’d like the session recorded.

Every session is a live, one-on-one screen-share with Greg Zelfond, delivered over a web meeting (typically Microsoft Teams or Zoom). Sessions are interactive – Greg walks through your actual tenant with you, answers questions in real time, and works through configurations together rather than presenting a recorded lecture.

Most clients use 1-hour sessions for SharePoint site structure questions, permissions and security troubleshooting, external sharing setup, metadata configuration, navigation design, migration questions, or Copilot readiness review. The session is yours to direct. Sessions happen over live screen share and can be recorded on request.
