Refreshed Logo for SharePoint Maven
In SharePoint and in life, one thing remains a constant: Change!
My original logo was created in 2015, and while I’m quite fond of it, I knew it was time to take a page out of the SharePoint book and craft it into something that represents both the evolution of my business and the program that is such a huge part of it!

Capturing Dynamic Growth
The SharePoint of 2015 was a very different one than the SharePoint of today. This was before the modern iteration of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and the many other applications that make up the current Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This dynamic growth is one of the driving influences in the new SharePoint Maven logo.
The green circle in the center of my new logo represents (what else?) SharePoint! By changing the color of this larger circle, I am able to represent SharePoint as the true anchor better it is — the foundation of a powerful, cutting-edge platform of programs and applications that have sculpted the landscape of our industry.
The small, blue circles represent other Microsoft 365 applications that “revolve” around SharePoint, just like planets around the sun. Together, all these applications become a system of unparalleled efficiency — working together independently, but undeniably anchored together by SharePoint.
The bigger circles represent all of you, my loyal followers! This community of my loyal followers has been growing steadily since I started publishing my blog in 2013, and has evolved into something truly special.
A Brighter Shade of SharePoint
Both the old and new logos share the colors blue and green, and that hasn’t changed. Blue is a color that is often thought to inspire a feeling of trust, and of professionalism. Green is said to inspire feelings of calm and harmony. These are the exact feelings I strive for in my business — trust in my expertise, and peace of mind for my clients. What had changed is the quality of those colors; they have been adjusted to slightly sharper shades of blue and green, representing the clarity these programs have achieved in their current iterations.
Consistency Is Key
Another change I made was in the font. Rather than a combination of two fonts — one bold, one not — I have made it one, consistent font. This is to represent both my commitment to SharePoint and the consistent quality and dependability of my blog posts and courses over the years.
Interestingly, I found out from my graphic designer, after I approved the final logo, that the font was none other than a font called Maven Pro. It was destiny!
Finally, I moved the word “Maven” directly underneath “SharePoint” instead of next to it. This way, the circles above form a downward momentum — an arrow of sorts — pointing directly to Maven. This is meant to communicate my hopes that my blog serves as a knowledge hub to our great community.
I want to thank you for sticking with me for so many years — from the old logo to the new. And to my new followers, welcome! I hope you’ll be here for the next one!
